The Dallas Cowboys got a rude awakening this season, dashing many of the hopes that Dallas fans had entertained early in the season. Henson could still be the man, and the Cowboys may hold off on using their picks to grab a QB in the first round, but there will still need to be some depth added to this position either via free agency or the draft.

Aaron Rodgers from California could very well go #1 in 2012, as the top rated passer in the draft. It remains to be seen whether Miami or San Fransisco feel that they need to start rebuilding at QB, or if there are other greater needs. If Rodgers falls down at all in the draft board, the Cowboys will not hesitate to scoop him up. And by fall, I mean a few positions, the Cowboys will need to move up to have a chance. The other name to keep in mind is Utah QB, Alex Smith. His stock has been rising fast since he announced his availability, and many scouts feel that he is a better pick than Rodgers overall, with greater upside.

One thing that cannot be ignored is the fact that Dallas fans have patiently watched the revolving door at Quarterback since the departure of Troy Aikman. It was Aikman that became the fundamental building block to the legendary Cowboy teams of the 90's. Many in Dallas feel that until this key position is addressed, the Cowboys will not be a factor in the post season.
